Could you post a pic of it? I am curious what it looks like to help figure out where it does.

It's not even threaded? It can't even be used as a joiner (when the Mikuni is removed from the manifold, the bottom coolant inlet goes with the carb as it passes through the throttle plate as part of it, so there's nothing to connect the coolant T piece where the heater hose is bridged in)

I'm over it. Today I'll be jetting to accomodate my altitude. I live at4300' and am always going over a pass that hits8000'. time to go pop her open and see what she came with.

SOOOOOO. Before i opened her up i ran her slightly uphill at WOT in third at 4000rpm clutch and key off all at once. coasted in my driveway and all the plugs look just like #420014
not what i expected at 4300ish in elevation.
So here she is at idle after 15 min 750ish rpm. Plug #120015
So gas gas and more gas.
idle mixture is out exactly 1 full turn. idle adjust is about 5/8 a turn from contact.
Should i open up the air fuel mix before i start jetting. This setting is its best fast idle adjustment.

I think you are misreading the plugs - the insulator is what you read for lean / rich, not the metal threads. That insulator is white, which says it is lean, not rich.

if its lean I need more gas gas gas=power power and hopefully more power

I thought I'd be rich but I need lots more gas

I got it where tuned to my liking and it's running great. I've got everything working except temp gauge/sender and widow squirter. I think the squirter issue is in the twist knob. It feels loose??? How should it feel?

The washer jets may have a bad motor pump. Put a test light on the plug and put the light where you can see it and try the washer jets. If it doesn't light up, you have a switch/power problem. If it does light up, you have a bad washer pump. Good thing is you can get new washer bottle assemblies complete and cheap. There are also whole column switches available but they aren't as easy to find (head to the land of ebay)
p.s. good job on getting the engine running right
