Hi folks! Im brand new to this forum (and forums, generally). Just acquired a 1988 Ram 50 2.0, for free(!) with the condition that I could get it running and pass smog (no small feat here in California)...
Anyway, Im very grateful for a resource like this, and amazed by the amount of information that I just encountered in the first thread i read; 'ASAP fixes'. Thanks in advance to all who are here and the expertise and advice you have shared with this community!

Hi and welcome to mightyram. Good luck with getting your truck to pass smog. It seems to be no mean feat to pull off a pass as it is a common hurdle to get over. Members in Cali are always asking for advice on getting their emissions sorted out.

Thanks geezer. I will definitely be asking some emissions equations right off the bat. It's my first hurdle to clear if I want to use this truck in this state.
