A picture request thread. Maybe the title should be modified to add the words picture request in it. Well, what are you using to lower your truck anyway? The cheapest would be cutting springs and adding drop blocks with removing leaf springs.

Just cuttin coils while the lowering coils come in. Tryin for a 3..5 in drop in the front n 4in blocks in the back

good luck with the lowering. You can just search the web for images of mighty max lowered....and almost guess at its drop.

it will sit nice at that height. What wheels are you using..

If you ever need a set of stock coils again let me know...:)

Don't forget to cut the bump stops in half or you will have not any suspension travel at all.

Any blocks over 3 inches I would suggest angled blocks. Don't forget to get an alignment after you are done. I'm sure you would likevyiur yurts to lady more then a few thousand miles.

i also would suggest angled block with any thing over 3 inches.....my buddy did 3 inch blocks with mono leaf and helper spring on top of the mono..instead of under...it rides like a cadillac...gave hime right at 5 inch drop in the back..

and def. take care of the bump stops...

here is my old mighty max. I had cut the coils about 1 3/4, pulled the middle leaf and had a 2 or 3in block I cant remember.

Ya that looks really good bro but i also heard the ride is pretty crappy when u cut that much coil? But ya i also picked up some 18'' Titans yesterday for $120 i thought it was a steal so i got on them =D i dont know how to post pix or i would.

it was pretty bouncy. But a good drop shock would smooth it out a good bit. I have toxic drop shocks all around on my toyota and it rides like stock. Only problem with the toxic shocks is their compressed length is a bit longer than other drop shocks I looked at.

Ya i am thinking of getting drop spindles since i got them wheels. but i do wanna lower soon so maybe just cut coils? idk i got 4in angled blocks, just need to lower it already:mad:

Well, with the 4 inch angled blocks, cut a coil and do a 2/4 drop to make it even. If you do install the drop spindles after you install the rims, itll give you another 2 inches and end up with a 4/4 drop and back to the oem rake. Easy solution. ;)

Good lick with the drop. I hope you remembered the pb blaster or dime kind of rust penatrant. Don't use sparingly either. ;)

Happy birthday. Your a lucky man, I came really close to breaking bolts off when I lowered by removing leafs. You got a shot of the truck with all 4 tires on the ground?

Seems about even in the picture. It's a little blury for me and I couldn't zoom in after opening the image shack picture. If you add drop spindles to this it'll lower the front another 2 inches for a 4/4. Or you can always cut off another coil. Or maybe half a coil.

clean truck man..i think it looks good...maybe a tad bit higher in the front..i would give the coils some time to settle even though they are stock ....but maybe a little more in the front wont hurt....atleast from the pic you posted that is my opinion
