Hey all. My name is Dylan. I just picked up an '87 Ram 50 2.6l 4wd Sport cab. 140xxx miles. $300 from a close friend. Sat for 2 years before i bought it. She started up after a little convincing. Needs valves done and head machined. 0 compression in cyl 3 i believe it was. Getting valves/ heads done next week and replacing timing. Anyone know a good site online for a kit with everything i need to do timing? Plan is to make this a nice little camping truck for small trips and something to drive in the winter. Gonna put some "33s on her but probably leave the height as is. A light bar here or there. Anyways, is there any other maintenance that i should consider while i have it torn apart? Any notorious issues with this motor? It will be nice to meet any of you. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. 33s won't fit stock height without mods to front wheel wells. Check out the sticky on the first things you should do after buying your truck.
