Gen 1 windshield weather strip/seal

I've been unable to find the part number reference for my gen 1 L200. I've seen some crazy prices (like $120 AU from a local reproduction company specialising in rare and obsolete spares) but I did however come across this listing in my search -

The price is unbeatable, but the way they set up their listings offers no cross referencing to a specific year or model. Anyone know if this is the glass seal I'm looking for? I need to replace my windshield before my truck can hit the road and luckily I can source new ones without a problem but I was warned the hard part of this is will be finding new rubber (and it potentially cost as much as the glass itself...)

IDk what an L200 is but here is the rubber I just bought for my 85 Ram 50. The rear window rubber worked out perfectly just don't lube the glass slot. AFAIK glass is not a problem. I bet if you contacted them they could help you if you don't see anything that works.

On the Mitsubishi parts site it fits 84 - 86 mighty max trucks, which should fit your truck just fine. Let us know how it works out.

Sweet, thanks for looking that up for me pennyman. I'll order one in advance so when I've got the truck on the road, I won't have to wait to book in the new glass. My rear glass rubber won't be an issue as the donor wreck has decent rubber and I'll be able to salvage it, but thanks for providing a link 85ram50 :thumbup:

Geez, That's a link to the front window gasket.
I mention the back window as I used them for it. I think they make the door/body gasket for the Ram 50 too.
If that Thai place seems ok check if they make the window scrapers for the 1st gen Mighty MAx. They have "weatherstrip belt" in their products list but nothing comes up when I select it.

Well, they want to gouge me $68 for Int'l shipping so suddenly a local supplier doesn't look that bad. By the time I convert US to AUD I'm up for $127.50 which is the local price anyway. Grrr, the suppliers are assholes...

I know but there is something seriously screwy going on. I can buy a pair of door seals for $40ish with no shipping charges from Bangkok off ebay. Weight and size would be about the same as the windshield seal. It seems like one of those items where all vendors are matching prices one way or another. Unless I can source a supplier that isn't charging me $120 for a box and I get a free windshield seal, I'll buy from the local crooks...

So the deed is done. Placed an order from an Australian supplier on ebay for $95 AU inc freight and it'll be delivered before xmas. The guy has had a reputation for being steep with his prices but when my search came up for a seal, his site was running a 30% off sale on these seals (looks like he was clearing stock he's had trouble shifting) FINALLY :rolleyes:

I have another supplier that can sell me any number of different extrusion profiles by length - and he's local. Might not need glass scrapers due to the donor truck having some decent salvage but if I do need any extrusions, I know I can get them same day if needed.

The guys' business is a subsidiary of UES International. Mostly off-the-roll stuff like bailey channel, wheel arch mouldings, weather strips, sponge rubber door seals etc. He's only a retailer/middle man...

It's in the ball park. You can get ones from Thailand for less but the freight is stupid. And it's probably made in the same factory...

I have the rear window and windshield gaskets. IDK if it was a good price but they are good products they make themselves. No more water intrusion.
