So I already looked up this and only one post came up and the link for it is non existent anymore and I was wonder the best way to fix the firewall that is cracking from the force of the clutch cable I was thinking cutting a plate out and welding it on with a hole for the clutch cable to go throw to just reinforce the firewall any other ideas ?

that will work - make it larger to spread out the stress. one on the inside wouldn't hurt, but would be hard to do. Be sure there isn't an issue with the cable or throwout bearing assembly causing you to need excessive pressure to depress the clutch pedal.

I replaced the clutch and I changed the tranny from my parts truck thinking it was soemthing to do with the clutch lever and then come to find out it was a 10 minute fix

The cable inner may be worn out as well. Had a car with a Sports Tuff clutch and it was hard as hell to depress. The cable blew so I replaced it. Next thing I know the clutch pedal felt like a rubber band - it was the old cable that was loading it up

stiff pedal is a warning sign, cable starting to fray I believe. Years ago happened in my 92 sentra se-r too
Seen a few mitsu trucks with chewed up firewall around cable passthru. That got me a $150 truck
Owner took box out and apart looking for the problem - lol
I bolted up a starion box to the 2.4 just to hear it run - it purrs. Needs to mod oe crossmember and shifter sits a few inches back.
Gathered the starion master cyl/hard line/salve, but hadn't got around to modifying it, because.....
I put the truck on the back burner once I noticed the steering box leaked bad too, so no quick road use as intended
Prolly convert to some steering rack, and swap in my starion 2.0L(non usa) one time... make a project out of the pos

I've had a few cable clutch cars with that problem before. Normally I cut 2 plates of 1/16" steel as large as I can flat to the fire wall with a large hole in each to the original cable bracket to fit thru. I That lets them sandwich the original fire wall between them. Rather than weld them in I normally bolt them together with a couple of 1/4 20 bolts.
