I have a Pioneer 40 + 40 tuner/ CD unit which is currently driving aftermarket door speakers and a set of large bookshelf speakers behind the bench. Any one found some good stand-alone mini-speakers they are pleased with so I might replace the big'uns and gain some storage room? I see a lot of powered PC desktop speakers but I sort of want to check out stand-alones. I know Mr. Bose has a nice line-up starting at only $500 each, but I think he has sufficient money to keep comfortable. Thanks for any ideas!!;)

look for s set of mini bookshelf or outdoor speakers in metal cases - they are about 8" by 6" by 4" and can sound damn good. Or get a wedge speaker box or boxes - they hold 10" subs and aren't to expensive.
