Had both the Starter and Alternator fail while I was out of work, so the truck has sat for a few months, I have some spare cash now and I'm trying to get it running again.

I replaced the following:
Starter, Alternator, Battery, Spark Plugs and Distributor cap.

Cranks fine, but acts as if there's no spark, it wont even fire up/react to starting fluid? I pulled the plugs and they showed signs of firing and do have a good spark, so I'm wondering if I have the firing order wrong? I don't have a Haynes/Chiltons manual so I can't double check.

Okay, so I did have the right diagram. Looks like I have a carb or fuel pump issue then.

If I had to guess I would check the wire connections to the new starter and see if they are tight or if you had crossed something also check the grounds. On my 85 there is some wires that go from the pos bat terminal to the coil and they will prevent start is they get loose. Drove me nuts figuring that out the wires looked fine but I had to add new connectors to fix the lost circuit problem.

I had a similar issue what had happened was, bad ground that did not get me spark, I accidently grounded the body of the dizzy to the block and it worked. so checking for ground would be a good idea too. I ended up cleaning all the sludge build up (it wasn't mine back then) around the dizzy, checked all ground, and added a ground from dizzy to block just to be safe. no issues after that.
