|Just finished my first year with my truck. It started out running terrible and now purrs like a kitten..
My list of changes in the last year:
Adjusted the kickdown so it will finally shift above 2000rpm ( the guy before me didn't know how to adjust it after repairing the tranny
New MAF sensor
New Plugs/Wires/Cap/Rotor
Milled the exhaust manifold and welded up a crack to stop the leaks
Added an electric fan as a backup for the hot summers here in Ontario
4 tires
Front brakes
Front Caliper
Complete clean of the EGR valve (completely plugged)
New Cat
new tailpipe
new oxygen sensor
On the list for the next year
Re-ring the engine (bore if needed .. then I will up the compression)
Balance shaft removal
Valve job
New valve springs
Mill the head
New water pump/oil pump
New replacement cam or regrind the factory cam
Build a custom header
Swap in an 8 3/4 or Ford 8.8 with axles drilled for the 6 bolt rims
Calvert style bars
Find an NOS seat cover and foam to replace the worn one in the truck
This engine has 240K KM and the valve seals leak so it's time for a rebuild
