Just got my first mighty max, and I'm super stoked! It's a 88 model, runs like a champ. It's sat for 5 years, I simply bought a battery and put some gas in it and it fired off like a champ. It's already been lowered about 3", has a roll pan and shaved tailgate. I'm going to change the oil and put some plugs, wires, cap, and air filter on it. I'm also going to get rid of the leer camper shell on it, simply not my style. I need tires ASAP and while I'm at it I'm going to ditch the wide OG 14s and look for some 6 lug wheels on craigslist. I also need speakers, I need 4" speakers for the dash and I'm going to put some 6.5" speakers in the panel behind the seat. Wish me luck folks, I'll be asking lots of questions.

Tulsa and Clarksville, that's just down the road. Im in a little town called Poteau OK, its about 45 min SW of Ft Smith. Sorry for the long wait. I drive truck for a living and had been gone for about a month so I had a lot of over due honey do's waiting on me. I did manage to do a complete tune up, oil change, 4" dash speakers and 6.5" speakers, new tires on some 16" escalade rims (scored them for $50 in Los Banos CA), and pulled the topper off. Here's a before and after. Lots more to come if can get the time between my Harleys, work and family.

The new wheels are a nice improvement - bargain for $50! Your truck looks tidy (and your dog looks happy) All you need now is time to enjoy it by the sounds of things...

that topper was the deal in the 90's - cut the back of the cab and front of the bed and you had a walk -through.

That's rite! The coolest janitor on earth back when I was in high school had a mighty max with that same topper, had a cut through with subs and all! Ever since then I wanted a mighty max. It only took me 14 years to make it happen lol. I needed something to haul motorcycle parts around, and there came a damn good excuse. I'll always keep those 14s with all kinds of offset and that camper shell because that's where mini trucking started!
