My first MM was a 1988 2wd 2.0 truck. It began life as a 5 spd truck with a bad engine so I got a deal on a wrecked '87 d50 2.0 automatic truck. Thinking well hey it's a 2.0 everything will bolt up.... Wrong! I learned the hard way there is a wide block and a narrow block version so my 5spd got converted to a auto truck. But all in all after the work was completed turned out to be a great truck. I found a truck I would rather have so i sold it a month or so back and bought a '87 MM 4x4 2.6 5spd truck and so far love it. Looking forward to putting my spin on it and driving the wheels off of it. Primilary my hunting/driving back and forth to work truck so any input on getting better mpg and tips or tricks would be appreciated! Thanks in advance. (Any other SC MM/D 50 owners in SC?)
