I just acquired a 1989 Power Ram 50 with a 2.6L and AW372 Trans from a friend of mine. She had purchased it for her son and it ran well until the flex-plate broke. They were unable to find one so they gave the truck to me to get rid of. I decided I would try my hand at finding the proper flex-plate but to no avail. Does anyone know where I can find one? I hate to scrap a truck that has nothing wrong with it other than a flex-plate. Plus, this truck brings back memories of my youth. I'm tempted to sell the engine and transmission to do a v8 swap, but don't want to if I can find a flywheel. Any help would be very much appreciated.

That one is the wrong one. I did a little digging and discovered that my truck has the same transmission that was put in the Toyota trucks that year. I checked on a flexplate for the Toyota and came up with Pioneer Part # FRA-465. All the specs match, I just need to go purchase it at AutoZone and see if I can make it work.

If you pull a win out of this, post your findings in the tech section. It'll be a big help in the future - http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php/4-The-Tech-Section
