I'm sure you guys all know this but Montero seats bolt right onto the Moghty Max sliders. This was a big deal for me because Mighty Max seats are so bad to begin with and mine were worn out. It's like a brand new rig! Even though the seats are 25 years old it made the truck way more comfortable. Anyway, I felt i'd post up in case anyone was interested in an easy seat swap or was like me and just happened to have a lot of parts that included Gen 1 Montero seats.

Nice to know TOASTY. My original seats are hell uncomfortable and I was thinking of using seats from another model Mitsu truck. :)

Montero bouncy seats fit? Pics please.

The 2nd Gen bench seat kills my back. It's like sitting in the bleachers.

No the Montero Suspension seats wouldn't go, in the Mighty Max we sit on the floor pan and in the Montero you sit on a large frame or suspension base (left and right sides but most commonly just the driver side). Already the Montero seat cushion is taller than the original Mighty Max cushion so you will sit a little higher, I'm 6'2" and I still fit fine plus I can now recline back a little which helps with comfort. What I did was unbolt the seat slider rails from the Montero seat and bolted on the ones from the Mighty Max. Another thing I really like is having a headrest (they're removable) because I hate hitting my head on the back glass offroad and I imagine in a rear end collision it would really suck. I'll get some pics up soon.

I'll bet the 3rd Gen seats would be a really close or bolt in fit and those are really nice and easy to get not to mention you could find them in an '04 and have way new seats. By 3rd Gen I mean the 3rd Generation of this chassis, the Montero Sport. The second and third generation of Montero probably wouldn't work without some work.

I have 1st Gen Montero seats in my truck, really easy swap. I also tried the seats from a 1999 Montero, the front mounts line up but the rear do not.

^^^
I as well would like to see some pics...
The park benches in Whitey (93) & The Mule (88), are both toast !!!
If I am reading this correctly, the seats
are from a 1'st Gen ??? 82-91 ???? 'Sport' chassis ???
As usual Honored Posters correction is welcome !

The seat belts mount in the same spot. As for the " 'Sport' chassis ???"That would be 1997-2004 Montero Sport which is not a Montero at all but rather a 3rd Generation Mitsubishi Pickup with an SUV cab instead of a bed. A lot of things from Sports just "go" on a Mighty Max like the entire suspension for example just bolts on and is the newer nicer riding design along with military wrapped rear springs.
