Cluth cable

Goood morning
Does anyone knows the length on the clutch cable for a 87 mighty max rwd 2.0.
mine seens to long and i cant get it installed right
Or if you can direct me to a thread with the routing other than the haynes manual i will appreciate.

it goes through the hole on the tranny inline with the Clutch lever arm. Then up the firewall into hole where the star wheel is and hooks to the top of the clutch pedal.

best Pic I have that shows the Clutch Cable, check for a flexing firewall or cracks around the adjuster star wheel.

Thank you very much lsrmike and pennyman its definitely a routing issue, since my firewall has already been welded and the cable is the right one,
I took off the old one a couple months ago to replace it together with a new clutch and didnt pay attention to the routing.
