Plan on changing distriubtor out this weekend, any tips or tricks 96 mighty max

The distributor has a tiny dot on the dizzy gear. Match it to the dot on the housing as you insert it making sure the rotor does not turn without the housing turning with it. Put your motor at TDC #1 piston on compression stroke. CHeck the mark of the old dizzy and make a mark where it sits. Install new one EXACTLY the same way you took the old one out. Check timing after installation,
