Hi everyone, I own a 1987 mm for 3 yrs now and I've been wanting to swap my engine
with a 4g63t. I have a 90 eagle talon tsi turbo awd in good condition except for the car itself that need
A lot of attention (bodywork wise). If anyone here want to do the swap and all fabrication for me or anyone you know that can do it, pls let me know. I will pay your time as long that doesnt cost me an arm and a leg. Thanks in advance.

Welcome, there are a few fabricators on this forum who may be able to help. Got any pics of the truck?

Define arm and a leg? I'm a professional fabricator and I can do that swap all day. I just don't work for peanuts lol.

Welcome to the board.

Nice, you have the original Sunset plate. I've always wanted one of those, they're getting rare.

You sure got a good looking truck there! Its been so long since I've seen one of those plates nearly forgot they existed.

No offense but expect to pay an arm and a leg. While that isn't the most difficult swap... it is still a motor swap with not only fabrication but new wiring requirements, mounts, fuel delivery... etc... I've seen a sample of Merrill's work and that kind of prestige does not come cheap.
I'm not trying to talk you out of going forward, I'm just trying to set your expectations. I've done stock motor swaps that cost customer's as much as $4,000. A mod swap like this is likely going to cost you a few bucks.... Like more than you're truck is worth. Therefore I'd say that an "Arm and a Leg" is plausible.

None taken Mandle... I'm not discouraged at all of what you've just mentioned. I just want to move forward with this project. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Nice stance on the truck, just the way I like them. Explore the place and ask any questions you wish. The place has knowledge leaking out of it with a great crew that enjoys helping.
