New from Texas

Hey all,
Just checking in. I am in Tyler, TX. Not a D 50 owner (yet) but have been in the sister-world of Starquests for years. I have several Starion and Conquests presently, and have seen some D50s with G54B-T's swapped in.
I am looking for a 4d56 turbo diesel. Preferably a 3rd gen. Anyone know where I could find one that doesn't require my firstborn as payment to get it?

you and half of the forum members want one of those motors - they are not cheap. I am currently helping a friend with trying to revive a 87 conquest tsi that some one half assed a magna intake, megasquirt 1 and a crank triggered ignition on it. It was so bad I removed it all and am in the process of returning it to stock to see if the motor is good. I also have a conquest motor I am building, so the magna setup may go on it. The motor and tranny from the conquest will be going into his 81 arrow pickup done up as a 70 cuda, complete with the gills on the rockers. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks! I was referred here in my search. Trying to figure out what all the 4d56t's came in, vehicles and equipment....
I'm very well versed in the quest world, so if you need something with one of them feel free to give me a shout

I just may take you up on that offer if the quest doesn't fire - the harness is pretty hacked. Not sure why he wants it bone stock when we swap it, but its his truck - I can't leave any of my vehicles stock for long...

if I do me a 4g63 swap I think the shifter on the manuals is what I need to move it back a couple inces according to a few things ive read

that is dependant on the position of the motor when you install it front to back.
