I thought the same thing. "Necessity is the mother of invention": weatherstripping will help. The modification does rather demand fair-weather parking outdoors and the need for a garage.

The factory weather seals are not awesome to start off with so now is as good a time as any to find a good upgrade for the craporama door seals.

Now is going to be like a Ford. The moment you crack the window open when it's raining water can flow into the cab right on to the electric window controls. That's one thing I hate about my Ford.

So did you tack weld along where the seem was? If not the roof and windshield frame can separate.

I have looked at doing that for years, but to keep the rain out you need some kind of way to keep the water from running in off the roof. I even considered making outer window frame covers to bring the frame out flush with the opening. Just see more work to make things worse. But I love the look of them gone...

Next little project - Replacing the removed drip rails on truck. ;) I luv the forum for exactly what you got here, a straight answer from members. I like the mod, really. but I think your going to need some of them Mylar wind deflectors just for when it rains. Though who runs with open windows in the rain. Getting in and out during rain the water is going to drip on your seats and carpet and who likes a wet pooper? Well, maybe a few members will say they do. :lmao:

Looks sleek. Remember the VW Bug "Cal Look"? Paint it a pastel color.

I got 3 new rolls of single bulb weatherstrip for my car project I didn't end up needing that might work if you need 'em.
