I have a 85 ford ranger with a 2.3 diesel and am in need of a water pump. The only ones i can find are in australia which means the shipping is almost as much as the part... I would be interested in a used or leaking one as well as i can get it rebuilt. Thanks!

Unfortunately that's how it goes with getting stuff freighted OS. I've been eyeballing a few things on ebay and I'm running into the same issue having anything shipped to Australia...

Ford and Mitsubishi use the same water pumps on diesel?

I know its far fetched, but could it be possible to plate off the pump area and install an aftermarket electric pump and mount it somewhere in engine compartment?

I just bought the ram 50 water pump. Pressed off the v belt pulley and pressed on the serpentine pulley. Been running for 3 years that way. Paid 432 dollars on eBay.
