So some of you may have read my progress log on JJ and know what i want to do for the suspension. I found out last night that Firestone has a Ride-Rite helper bag system that is a bolt on kit for the mighty max, so I will be able to do the exact suspension design in the rear that i want. Monoleaf the stock pack with the helper spring and likely a block kit with either traction or ladder bars to help prevent any axlewrap. The front, however, i cannot decide how i want to do it. It will be a pure airbag setup but do i want to custom build a setup, get a mustang2 kit, or just modify the stock setup and put in a bag. As of now for my motor swap i have to hack up and modify the crossmember anyways so if i were to do a full redo it wouldnt make me mad at all. The biggest problem i forsee is how to use the stock steering and knuckle with an aftermarket setup. Unless there is an easy way to hook up a rack and pinion steering id be okay with making that work. The big thing here is i want something reliable, adjustable, and long term. It is not for laying body or even frame, just ideally for mpg to drop the truck on the freeway to about 3in off the ground and bump it back up in the city and forest roads and whatnot. This has to be a system that i can maintain and replace if necessary for at least 500k. So can i get some opinions ideas and experience?

ROTFLMAO no not dollars my gf and i have $15 to our names. My expectation for the truck once i get it built the way i want is for it to be on the road for at least 500,000 miles

Just cut out the spring pockets and get some bag mounts and weld them it. It's really easy if your not worried about laying frame and know how to weld and a lot less work than switching to a different front clip.

That's kind of what I'm leaning to just worried about steering linkage clearance

What are you worried about the steering clearing?
