Man I can't find info on this anywhere! Maybe this forum can help.

I drive a 1994 Mighty Max 2.4 Automatic. I love the truck but I hate how low it is. I know it's a no-no to lift automatics
but is there anything I can do to get more height? I'd like to run bigger tires too. Do I have any options?

not sure why you think lifting an auto 4x4 is wrong - it makes no difference. use the ucas from a 92-96 montero, and an add a leaf in the rear for 2-3" of lift. this will let you run a 33" tire with little issue

It's 2x4 and automatic. Impossible?

The main concern is altering the angle in which the u-joints turn. You'll wear out u-joints if you don't adjust aspects of the drive train and tranmission mount. Right now, that's all in a straight line. Lifting the rear will cause an uptick in the line.

Don't know how to tell you to do it, just pointing out what happens.

get the angled shims for the rear to fix the driveshaft angle from belltech. The only option for lift is custm made coils for 3" lift. Had a set in my 1985 ram 50 royal back in the 80's - it tore the front end apart cause the suspension was at the upper stops all the time.

Ah. Sounds like it might be too tricky. I think my first order of business is getting some larger tires. Maybe 205/75/14's to gain an extra couple inches...maybe new wheels too.

I can't even get a 2 ton jack under the frame it sits so low.

something doesn't sound right if it sits that low, got any pictures of how low the thing sits at its current point?
