Scroll down the menu and click on what you need. Should be HERE (http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin/showthread.php/2974-90-2-4-oil-pump-replacement?p=26675&viewfull=1#post26675). I took lots of pictures, and camoit just posted perhaps the most important one.

Hope it helps...let me know.

Looks like the compression on 2 and 3 cylinder won't hold at all. Don't think I'll rebuild it so I'll just drive it till it blows up.

Here is a link to one of our downloadable car manuals that should answer all your questions. There are also many other manuals available for our trucks here and all free. The manual has a great step by step information with illustrations. I usually use a couple manuals if one doesn't show it completely, the other one will.

I don't think so....I might try to just drop a new engine in and rebuild the old one, just for shits and giggles. I need a daily driver and my buddy said we can sway the motor in an afternoon.

The"fire ring" metal cylinder "seals" will rust out and the HGaket will then loose compression & "blow" when antifreeze isn't maintained. I am replacing mine now. GL! (IT (engine) won't "BLOW" from this unless oil gets contaminated (or not changed while waiting to "blow")... Remove &check head, regasket and replace. Enjoy! There is a truck fsale with 398,000 miles on CL!

I figured it won't blow...I am looking at getting a dodge neon with low miles for my wife. When we get our hands on that ill rip into more. Right now I odnt have the time or the replacement car to do something like that...or the knowledge.

Understood. My situation also (re no other transport). I have to do mine next Monday as the machinist is only at parts house Tuesday -Thursday! (In case parts are needed to be ordered. "Blue Devil" did partially seal my HGasket temporarily!! and it was blowing back!! even!

As in the bolt or you can't get the tensioner to play? It is meant to pried with a bar or screwdriver. There is a molded lip in the engine block to pry off of.
