can i use the megajolt lite jr ecu to control four individual coils and program in the firing order or do i need the edis 4 stuff? or can i use the megasquirt2 ecu to program my own firing order to fire four individual coils instead of using the edis 4 coil pack and control module?

i'm guessing that is a negative and i am going to need the edis stuff.

You could use something like a MSD DIS-4 Ignition Box, it supports 2, 3 or 4 coils. I have one, but didn't do a whole lot of reading up on it. I was originally going to install it on the 340 in my '74 Duster for a Distributorless ignition. But i stopped, because the urge to drive the car overpowered the urge for the ignition (ended up going with an Accel 300+ Ignition module and a recurved distributor).

IIRC the DIS-4 needs an input from a Crank Position Sensor and Cam Position Sensor, along with 2, 3 or 4 Coils (or coilpacks)

i noticed that the edis 4 module automatically run the motor at 10 degrees btdc for its limp home mode. that is where i run my timing at anyway. so, do i really need the megajolt lite jr or megasquirt 2 module to control it?
