View Full Version : What is the best Lift kit to buy. (Ram 50)

I want a 3 inch lift for my 89 Ram 50. What is the best one to buy. Please post a link if possible.

They don't make a kit for these trucks. I believe in the back you need to find longer shackles that will work and maybe add a leaf or two. And in the front you will need to adjust the torsion bars and I think its first gen montero arms that will add a little more lift. Wait until the 4wd guys get here though, as I'm a 2wd/lowered kind of guy.

2nd gen montero ucas give 1-2" lift 92-96

it will lift the body, but not the suspension, so it will clear the tires, not anything more under the truck than stock

I'm going full monty suspension in front ill have pictures in three or so weeks, bud. Then 33s *crosses fingers* hope they fit lol

you will have to trim the lip in the bottom of the wheelwells for the 33" to fit even with the lift

Id hope you have some big ponies under the hood for 33's unless your just going for looks. I dont think the stock engines would have enuff ump to get use out of 33's

if you regear it it will be fine - 4.63s will work wonders.
