Door rattle

1995 M/M...I've adjusted the door striker and I still get a door rattle. It's adjusted correctly but still get a rattle around corners etc. My question is did the striker (the U shaped piece with 2 screw holes bolted to the body) have rubber around it or something? It seems it needs to be bigger in diameter, that sound right.

Yes, they should have rubber around it

take a piece of rubber vacuum hose, slit it and reglue it back together to replace the lost rubber piece.
