I have an 82 Dodge D50, I ordered what I thought were the correct bushing but they were too small so finally I brought it somewhere to have them fix it for me cause I just didn't have the time and they as well had to order bushings fir it. When they received the bushing they as well got the wrong side too small. The bushings did not fit the leaf spring snugly they were loose and had play. I talked to one guy who used to own a shop and he said something about trying to find bushings for like an Isuzu or something but I am clueless can anyone help me out are the bushing for say like an 85 bigger than bushings for an 82 or what do I need to do to get bushings. I really want to get this thing going before the snow falls. Already replaced upper/lower ballpoint, inner/outer tie rods, CV axles, shocks all the way around, and my pitman arm I just need to replace my leaf springs and bushings someone please help??

Did you take it to a spring shop? They would pull the bushings and measure them. Then ream out the new ones to match.
A regular mechanic would be clueless. Ask a spring shop. They will get you the corect ones.

Are the bushings too small because the hole in the spring is worn?

Could be that the collar the bushings go into is gone.

I did mine when they got squeaky. I ordered the bushings from Rock Auto and used brake caliper shoulder bolts for the pins.

Found these while searching for myself. Not sure about price or quality yet since I just started looking.

The urethane bushings didn't fit my truck either. I had to drill cut and burn the original bushing out of its metal case. I used that metal sleeve for the new bushings. Then the problem with the bolt hole... I used a piece of 1/2" copper pipe the same length as the original metal center sleeve and then used three 1/2" couplers over it. The third coupler had to be trimmed. This got me to just about the perfect fit everywhere.
