ARP makes a stud kit. Then you can reuse them if nessary. You may need to clearance out under the valve cover in 2 places. No big deal. Worth the $120

Napa has yer head bolts.

However, I second Camoit on the studs. Just because you can reuse them, unlike bolts. If you are gonna work on that engine at all again, being able to reuse them becomes very cost effective. 2 sets of bolts = 1 set of studs in price.

ARP part number is #207-4702 so you can shop around.

I don't think ARP makes the Allen head design head bolts for our trucks(1st gen),Only the hex bolt design. Be sure to get the head bolts that are reusable. If not mistaken, ARP sells a "use one time hex head bolt kit also". Camoit is right about fit too, grab the dremel and your going to have to grind metal for them to fit. There should be already some grinded already from factory on the rocker oil rails.

Gasket kits from DNJ were $63.00 for the entire engine kit to rebuild my 86.

Studs are the only way to go.

Really...........?

Where do you get these?

Thanks.

Also, on my 1990 2.4 FI, there are allen wrench screws, and on this other engine that the dude tried to rip me off for, has 12mm 12 point bolts.

Wuzzz up with that?

Sorry to threadjack.

And camoit, can you elaborate on that clearance issue a little more.......possibly pics of where?

Once again sorry for the threadjack.

I'm 99% sure that ARP makes a kit for the second gen. They make one for the first gen so I don't see why they don't have something to fit your truck. Call them directly to get the part number then order from Summit Racing. http://arp-bolts.com/

As for clearance On my truck it hit one of the ribs inside the valve cover. So a quick touch up with the die grinder and it was golden. As for pictures look here post # 2. http://www.mightyram50.net/vbulletin/showthread.php/1582-G52-2-0L-Head-On-A-G54B-2-6L
