Looking for a really good clutch for my truck, prefer 6 puck sprung or unsprung with a heavy duty pressure plate. I know ACT used to make us a kit as I had one in my original mighty max.

But they no longer make one for us anymore. I am looking for something around a ACT 2600 pound pressure plate, I like the one in my AWD talon.

lemme know if you guys know of anything around this that will work.

Also I had heard of some talk about a fwd DSM setup working in our trucks, any info on this and how a bout the cable setup, will it hold up to the extra pressure???

Thank you,
Aedan

The oem dsm fwd flywheel and pressure plate is lots of clamping force. It actually flexes the firewall with the cable setup.

That's perfectly fine, I can brace the firewall, just good to know that it can be used as I have tons of stock DSM parts laying around.

I have got a lot of good reviews from people using southbend clutches. They have applications for the starquests as well as dsms. I posted the link in our links sections.

Oh, and welcome back to the site. I remember the user name.

I plan on making a custom turbo setup on this motor and tranny and just need something guaranteed to hold say 250hp. Gonna be a 2.4 with a 16g and maybe an SAFC.

I had good holding power with just an oem replacement from sachs. Didn't notice any clutch slip issues, only no traction issues. I used the starion turbo disc in the dsm fwd turbo pressure plate and flywheel.
