Motor swap questions

Been thinking about putting another motor in my 1990 mighty max 2.4 but all I can seem to find around here is a 2.6. Will a 2.6 bolt up to my 5 speed transmission... And will the wiring harness be the same?

No it wont. 2.6 is carbed, 2.4 is Fuel injected.

Be a little more specific... I knew the 2.6 was carb I just wanna know it'll bolt up to my transmission.. The wiring hsrness is no problem if its not the same....

yes. I swapped a starquest turbo 2.6 into my 1990

Yes it will bolt up, they use the same wide block pattern.

will the motor mounts be right? water inlet & outlet? fuel? ,you have a electric pump in the tank, 2.6 has a mechanical one on the block.
a lot of trouble to go backwards? but hey, your truck.
