If you plan on converting a carb truck to turbo with fuel injection, the easiest option would be to use an external fuel pump. You could also use a stock Starion/Conquest fuel pump since its an external pump too.

Check out http://www.projectzerog.com/forum/ or http://www.hotrodcoffeeshop.com/since you have a narrow block. You can do a 4g63 swap from an eclipse.

The thermostat houing o fthe 2.0 4g63 does not clear the firewall.

There are other threads on here about changing the thermo housing for an older 2.0 or 1.8 mitsu motors. Others have cut the housing ,reaimed the hose fitting and welded it back up. Check out the hotrodcoffeeshop link for that trucks buildup.

Why dont you quit wasting your time looking for another motor thats just as worn out as yours! Lets face it these trucks are all 15-30 years old and the motors are shot. Rebuild yours and #1. You will know what you got. #2 You wont be doing this again in 20,000 miles when your donor motor breaks. Im not trying to rag on you. Seriously The parts are cheap. Pistons rings gasket set Bearings belts water pump.

It is my son's high school truck. Doing the bottom end without refinishing the bores is a waste of time and money, More so than the $250 it would cost me for the used engine. I am still considering rebuilding the bottom end (the head has 2,000 miles on it from the previous owner), but if I disassemble the bottom end, I have to do it right. Since I have a bottom end noise, we are talking more than rings anyway (even though new rings on old pistons in 106,000 mile bores is kind of dumb). Also, the plan was to use the used engine as a stop gap, while my son rebuilt the existing engine and learned along the way.

I meant all the machinework as well. I did my own Mitsubishi diesel rebuild when I was going to high school.I learned a lot! And enjoyed the truck for years. Think of the hassle removing a bad engine the second time.

You are right and I am probably heading the rebuild bottom end route. I also have a few non-feedback Holley-Weber 5220s lying around. They will bolt up using the Weber adapter from Pierce Manifolds. That is going to go on the new engine.
