Hey guys
I wanted to know if anyone has done anything with sound deadening. I have an 88 mighty max and if I am going down the freeway just cruzing along it gets realy loud and all I can hear is my engine. It dosent bug me when I am alone cuz I just turn up the radio. But I some one is with me I cant talk to them cuz it is so loud. I don’t have a lot of money cuz im still in school but wanted to know if any ones done anything like this?

Ethan (LethalEthan) had a cheap and effective way to sound deaden, I remember he bought the stuff at the hardware store I just don't remember what it was called, you might have to pm him if he doesn't see this thread and post. =)

im all about removing the sound deadening hahahaha. But there is this stuff you can get at lowes or home depot. I forget exactly what its called but its made for roofing i think. Comes in a big roll for like $15 and its sticky on one side and aluminum on the other. Its just like dynamat for 1/4 the price.

now I just need to find a cheap alternative to roll-on bedliner. Lowes or homedepot had some latex-based driveway sealer that was like $20 for a 5 gal pail, thought it would be worth testing on some scrap metal.

try lizard skin or a coat of poly truck bed liner on all interior surfaces that are covered. lighter than sound insulation, won't trap water and actually seals the sheet metal from moisture. floorboards, inside doors and especially the roof skin are large flat areas that resonate. some sort of spray on liner will muffle/cancel out some of that echo

lizard skin isnt cheap tho ..but I would recommend it tho...we shoot it at our shop
