could any one tell me the best gears to put in my 83 dodge ram 50 for my 2.6 to turn 35 in tires

You don't state what you are driving on..?

For Highway, 3.90:1 or lower (numerically) and for crawlin, 4.22:1 on up..

Hope you got some tricks up your sleeves to fit 35s on a first gen. 31s all you can really fit with a BL and torsion cranks. Unless you cut fenders.

imm gonna change out the the axel and put yota on them and than lift it from there

so are you doing a straight axle swap or what

purdy much imma gonna try and get the 35s on it every one is telling me it would look good on 35s imma try getting a pic of it up soon

Does yoter make a Driverside drop axle? Outside of there 8in SFA that came in the trucks I'm not real fimiliar with there SFA's.

If I was gonna keep a truck stock, I'd get a early bronco front D44 that driverside drop, or a old D44 6lug wagoneer, relative same width same pattern same drop side.

Out side of that your looking at divorcing your t case and tranny, wich I know of one person thats done that. And I dont think divorcing one would be very easily done without lots of lift. Tho I know the montero guys can fit a np231 behind there 4cyl auto tranny with about one new seal, so realistically, you could run something pside drop with a married set up.

yota axles are pretty stout...it sounds funny but i have seen people cross drive shafts from the drivers side drop t-case to passenger side third members...seen them in some rock crawlin videos and seen a couple at the mud bogs
