using 4g63 clutch and flywheel on my truck

Will a 6 bolt AWD 4g63 flywheel and clutch set work with either my 1980 2.6 5spd or 1986 2.0 5spd trucks? I have a chance to get a stage 2 fidanza clutch pressure plate and xtd flywheel for a great price, but I don't remember if they will work on these trucks or not. LMK quickly - I have only 24 hours to make the deal.

The 4g63 turbo flywheel would not be reachable with the awd flywheel, but would be with the fwd flywheel. This is true with the narrow blocks. The truck clutch disc would be a little smaller with the dsm pressure plate and flywheel and would be more suited with the star quest oem cluth dimensions. Running the dsm clutch disc in the truck pressure plate and flywheel is something I haven't thought about but I am sure it will stick out of the pressure plate a bit. Also the clutch spline would not fit on the trucks input shaft like the starion or conquest discs and the dsm flywheel doesn't have the pilot bearing in it, that would need to be machined in.

Just some research from doing a 4g63 turbo swap. :)

Ya I found that all out after I posted it, althiugh the 3.0 v6 disc with the fwd flywheel and pp seems to be the hot ticket with 4g63 swaps

Interesting. Is the v6 disc the same as the starion turbo disc? More options would open up.

not sure - its on the hodrodcoffeeshop site - the splines are the same 1x23 as the conquest, but other than that I can't say for sure

Okay. I got my info from projectzerog for the starquest clutch disc setup.
