looking for speedo gear md705461 which has 21 teeth on the gear or md705462 which has 22 teeth. Dealer says they are no longer available. Anyone know what models these speedo gears were used on?

You could buy just the gear or the whole speedo "Driver Gear" assembly. One of those is still available. Have them check the whole assembly they are only like $40

Do you know which one is still available? I'll check the assembly part numbers.

My local Mitsubishi dealership closed 3 years ago and the next closet one is an hour away. The parts counter guys at that dealership can be an ass over the phone. Sometimes they'll check and get back to me and most times they never call me back. Service is normally fine if I stop in, but its an hour away and normally things need to be ordered anyway.

md705462 is still available, but is on back order for a few weeks according to a dealership I contacted over the internet.

No luck in getting the assembly part numbers, so I couldn't check on those.

Hey There, is there any chance that this gear could be found in a wideblock d50 5-speed transmission? I have a couple of them and I could rip one out if you need it?

It's the plastic gear at the end of the speedo cable that goes into the transmission. I already have one from a D50 which is a 24 tooth speedo gear. The starquest uses a 23 tooth speedo gear. And from the info above a flatbody starquest uses a 22 tooth speedo gear (md705462). Not sure what Mitsubishi uses the 21 tooth speedo gear (md705461).
