Actually I decided the oxygen sensor was more important than the OD solinoid and fortunately the dodge dealer gave me the part # for the sensor although it's a bosch part #... so i just emailed Mitsu with that info. Maybe tomorrow i'll just check Canadian tire to see if they have one.. but so far the cheapest oxygen sensor I have found it $170. canadian!

they asked for a vin or some form of confirmation just to inquire about a part #?
i could see chrysler doing something so stupid since everything seems to be keyed to the vin on their cars nowadays.
man, with all this unemployment around how do such lazy ass people keep thier jobs.
if they wouldve asked me at the mitsu dealer for my vin when i went to get my ignition switch i wouldve showed them, by driving the truck thru the door so they can get a better look.
what a load of crap!
take your old one off then take it there and shove it in thier faces and ask if they have one and how much.
even better, get the part number off the thing and search ebay or google bound to be someone selling one somewhere.

An O2 sensor should be right around 40 bucks for one of these trucks. Its just a 3 wire heated O2 sensor I would imagine. Dont buy ANYTHING from a stealership without looking around first

I once had a 88 Ram 50 with the Auto OD tranny and had no OD. The fix? the solenoid is grounded to the Intake manifold under the throttle body. I had changed a sensor on mine and unplugged it somehow. It is a single black wire out of the harness. Hope this helps!

I got all excited when i saw a single black wire dangling but it turns out it was just a ground from the starter. Sadly the rest of the single black wires are plugged snugly... thanks for posting though, i bet it will help somebody someday!:)

Also be sure you don't have the temp sensor lead and the solenoid wires switched- that is what I did. There is no separate ground wire from the starter, it grounds to the block and tranny. That wire will appear to come from the starter, its in the bundle coming up from there.

when you talk temperature sensor is it the guage for hot/cold because the guage seems to be reading correctly. If not then i'll mention it to the garage tomorrow as they now have my truck again.. came out of the grocery store tonight and the truck wouldn't start at all, they thinks the coil went.:(
