Ok guys(and girls) my ol lady has an 02 cougar and it keeps shuttin off when you pull to a stop. We had to hooked to a computer and it said the EGR(exhaust gas regulator) vavle could be clogged or messed up. But what I need to know is where the hell it is located so I can check it. I don't know shit about these cars. In my opinion they suck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah its a 2.5 v6

if it is an egr code. than i would start at a exhaust manifold. look for any "extremities" on it that is most likely going to go back to the intake. just a guess....egr recirculates exhaust gasses back into the intake for emissions controls. soooooo start at the manifold. my $.02
