So I am going over and over the chopping of the top I decided I wanted to look and see if I would like it. After chopping it the bed looked funny to me so I shortened it as well. Cut me some slack I am not an artist and I did this in paint brush... I think I may have shortened the bed a bit to much but you get the idea...

I think you did a pretty good job. I don't really care for the final version though. How would it look full length,chopped top,but sitting a bit lower?Not slammed,just lowered a few inches?Just remember,beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you like it shortened,go for it.
