Spindles move the attachment point of the hub up without affecting the rest of the suspension. Cutting the bumpstops will allow the suspension to compress more before stopping- don't cut them any more that 1/2 height or you will surpass the angle of the ball joints design and they will fail; wheels fall off that way. You may have to trim the lip on the lower control arms to allow for full lock turning depending on your wheel's design and offset when using drop spindles. With drop spindles alone to lower, you can run stock shocks; however, you should be aware that if you bottom out alot in the front, you will either damage the shocks and/or blow the lower mounting bolts out of the lower control arms. To prevent this, use 1" longer bolts with spacers between the shock and control arm.
