1993 Might Max, need swap answers

Hey everyone, so me and my buddy just picked up a 1993 Might Max truck. The guy was trying to swap a 4g63 head onto it. He got the old head off and the new head on with one bolt then the rest is a grey area as to what happened. But anyways, we are going to do a motor swap and need a lot of questions answered. I tried searching google for about 2 hours and went to mightd50.com and could not register which led me here. Hoping I can get some help. What is the most common and easy swap on these? He wants to do a 350 and I want to do a 302. Anyone got any opinions on these two swaps? And is it possible to get a 4g63 into one of these? Whats the tranny like in these trucks? If it bolts to a 4g will it hold up? And for rear end, has anyone done a 8.8 or a 9"? Thank you very much in advance.

There are tons of info floating around about all of these swaps. You can do a 350 swap, a 302 swap or a 4g63t swap. We are working on doing a FULL WRITEUP including pictures for each and all of these swaps including wiring diagrams and tips/tricks. But it's an ongoing process. Check out the link just below your post named http://www.mightyram50.com/phpBB3/full-4g63t-swap-info%C7%83-t44.html
Also the 302 is a VERY POPULAR swap. Almost bolt-on. As is the 350 with modifications. I hope this helps... and keep checking back, we'll get working on the other information.

Thanks this really helps. I am going to see if my friend has a donor mustang in his junkyard for a donor car. He want to do a 350 just because his dad has one out of a old farm truck. I would like to do a 4G63 because we both had GSXs but he really didnt like his for some reason.

No we sold them a while ago, try tigerjapanese.com or jdmtigerjapanese.com they have JDM motors for a good price. What tranny should we use for a 4G swap? Seeing as the stock eclipse trans will be a transaxle

Use the trans off a 2.0L mighty max or D50. The info is in the swap post below this post.

It's been tested multiple times. It will hold up! Depends on your boost goals, but for the most part will hold no problems.
