im new to this whole mitsubishi motor thing in a d50 and my boyfriend was thinking about putting in a 2.3td in it and we were just wondering what the other possibilities are of what i could put in there without changing the 2.6 tranny or doing a lot if any modifications to the rest of it

I recently took the plate that goes between the engine and trans for a 2.3 and tried to match it to my 2.6 trans. It is the same except where the starter goes. The holes do not match up. Are you sure the 2.3 engine will bolt up to the 2.6 trans?
