Anyone out there who needs access to the service manuals for this truck, give me a holler here or at
wizard_rpd@yahoo.com. I've also found some links for hard to find parts etc. Nice to find you all on-line. Looking forward to sharing info and knowledge.

Welcime to the board. Do you have a little bit of background as well as a plan on what you wanna do with your truck? We have other sections people start build threads as well as a help section other might have a question you can answer.

Is there an easy way to get the manual online short of scanning every page, maybe a Kinko's type facility could do it for less than an arm and a leg? Any thoughts? Have had truck for 10 yrs as work truck for self-(un)employeed landscaper/arborist. Jasper rebuilt engine 2 yrs ago first without silencer/balance shafts. Vibrated a lot. Second engine without shafts did the same. Third with shafts ran smoother. Felt like I sacrificed power for no vibration. Know I'm running risk of disabling the oil pump if a shaft goes down. Live and learn. Have "spare" bed that needs work but no rust at horizontal front to back seam. I've been tinkering w/internal combustion engines since the late 60's, thanks to a neighbor shade tree mechanic who built cars for running moonshine in the hills of the Cumberland Plateau in Middle/East TN. My truck is 5spd MT, 4wd, 2.6L Mikuni-Solex 2bbl downdraft carb w/elec choke. A/C has dead compressor. Finally learning what the 1000 miles of vacuum hose are supposed to do after tracking down power loss in low torque/low vacuum conditions. Carb rebuild time. Thanks to all who responded to my 1st post. Randall

I took my manual and dismantled it. Manley because it was falling apart any way. Then I ran each section throught my scanner and put it up on my server. If you don't want to dismantal it or pay someone to scan each page then you might want to just do it one section at a time. Take your time on it. Then when you have it in PDF format let me know and you can send it to me and I'll put it up on one of my servers and send you the link to it so you can do the wright up on it.

Glad to have more seasoned mechanics here. Sorry I can't help with the PDF stuff.
