Welcome to the boards. Sorry to hear about your transmission, but I am glad to hear that it's still kicking after that much miles. Do you know if your engine and trans are still original or replaced some time ago?

Pick-n-Pull has a few trucks on their inventory list. Golden State and Jensen. There is a Mitsu yard down on Chestnut south of Malaga. Wide block 5 speed shouldn't be too hard to find.
There is a wealth of information and resources on this site, along with some friendly people.

That's really good for the truck. The original motor lasting so long. May it last another 100,000 miles. Hope you find a new transmission soon.

I'm close, Auberry. I work in town though. Pick-a-part may have some. If the one in your other thread doesn't work out, I'd try the yard on south chestnut. What about the clutch, are you certain the trans is bad?

yeah, i pulled the whole transmission and clutch (i surprised myself) and took off the pan, and there were quite big chunks, so i called my neighbor (big Toyota off roader) and he took a good look at it, and saw that the gear closest to the clutch was half stripped.
