Just wanted to say hey. Been browsing the site for a while, lots of great info, figured I'd better join, even though I have no idea how these work.

I have done a Weber conversion and waiting on my header to arrive, really my only big mods so far. Also about to install a reman 2.6L. Can't wait to get 'er on the road again!

Considering a body lift and bigger wheels and tires maybe in the future. Also may try my hand at welding up a custom front bumper/grill guard, seeing as I haven't had much luck locating anything along that line.

p.s.

Putting a reman Marshall Engine in my truck, wondering if anyone knows where to get a dipstick tube? Could not get mine out of my old block! Also possibly the oil filter adapter, haven't tried removing it yet, waiting on an extractor.

Any info is greatly appreciated! Look forward to this experience!

I might have a dipstick tube in stock, new or used...but give me some time to confirm this.

Thanks man! Gave $800 bucks for it, one owner Texas truck, was parked for a LONG time, but cleaned up somethin wonderful. Wouldn't run, put a new carb on it and drove it until a balance shaft chain broke, which prompted the reman engine purchase. Had 177k miles on it, the truck is in such great shape just decided to put a little money into the engine, had the trans gone through, and am proud to own it. Gets lots of attention.

Let me know on the dipstick, tried modifying a chrome Mr. Gasket one, but it fit the hole sloppy, so still hunting one.

Thanks again!
