My first truck I bought was an 87' 2.0 5 speed with 275k miles on the original motor, got it for $900 and drove it all the way to Colorado springs with over a thousand pounds of my belongings and 2 passengers (me included) running with low compression in the #4 cylinder.

I just recently sold it because I stumbled upon this gem while looking for a truck for my gf...
1990 4x4 V6 5 speed with 210k, tow hitch, new shocks, new timing belt, water pump, block heater, P/S, A/C (that works... actually everything works!)
The dealership was asking $2999 but I got them down to $1600 off the lot because we believed it had a blown head gasket. After tearing down the motor, it turned out the passenger side cylinder head was actually cracked, so we went down to the junkyard and pulled one off a montero for $30.00! There were actually 2 engines already pulled sitting in the back of this montero, I was soooo lucky! Already pulled off the nasty 80's pinstriping, installing my 6.5 components and head unit this weekend.

Plans for the truck are pretty mild:
3" body lift
Rancho shocks
Montero 3-spoke steering wheel
Different 15" wheels
31's
Light tint
Re-spray the truck white
Respray the front bumper black
Rhino Liner the flares
AFe air filter
Royal Purple motor oil,
Delete the cat and replace with a glasspack and a performance muffler
HID headlight conversion
Front bull bar
Roll bar with Hella fog lights
If I do more, I'll post it. I'll try to take pics of everything I do, hopefully get all of this done before Winter.
Thanks for reading guys!
