There are many on here that have done the starquest motor swap, it's a 2.6 turbo version of our motor with a lot to offer. Another swap is the 4g63 from the various mitsu cars; its 16 valve with or without a turbo. Just something to get you thinking; I'm building a 2.6 starquest for my 1st gen 1980 d-50. Welcome and enjoy!!!

thanks everybody for the warm welcome
...so this is my game plan i need some opinions
-long block p#meici5620c... its a 2.6l I4 reman mashall complete w/ new oil pump and balance shaft elimination Without pulse air and jet valve
-weber carb p#wk611
-pace setter headers p#60-1011
-nology wires

my goal is to re-vamp my truck so i can enjoy it for years to come so im not really going to hard on performance though i do want to put a mild cam and obviously with the after market carb i should get some what of a little kick outta it. im really thinking about an msd ignition but im not sure if that will be to harsh, be it that im going with nology wires. idk help me out
