New Old Guy

Hey guys, new to the site but not the Ram 50. Been a long time member on the other forum. Ive owned mine since mid 1998. My first car and 12 years later I still drive it every day. Its a 1983 Ram 50 Royal with the 2.6. Thing has been bullet proof. I know some guys rip on the 2.6 but I love that motor, it has never failed me. I've rolled the truck, slamed into a 45 degree embankment and spunout on the free way hitting the gaurd rail. Every time the truck has been fixed, just body work, had to replace the cab after the roll  but the engine has always run. Mind you most of the accidents where in my younger days. Truck has been repainted and still runs strong.

Two years ago I rebuilt the suspention with Energy Suspention Poly Bushings, KYB Gas-A-Just shocks all around and cleaned up all the hardware. Even had the front arms powder coated and new ball joints all around. I used my original springs since I cant run the Bell Tech ones I have with my rims (dont want to roll my fenders out). Running ADR Nitro NIT II 15"x8" rims. Not a fan of low profile tires, plus with the roads where I live they wouldnt last too long.

Nothing special done to the truck realy. Mostly Stock other then a K&N Filter.
