Yeah màn, nice truck. As far as the lid, most do-it-yourselfers use aluminum. Use some 1x1 square tubing for frame and then panel it. A couple of actuators will electronically get that thing to lift/drop but they can get pricy! I understand the family thing. I have four at the house, most recent was last April. Lucky for me I kept the truck, unlucky part is its been sitting for two years in my garage! Good luck and enjoy the site!
