Electrical issue

Finally repairing my 91 mm after it got in a fight with a highway barrier at the beginning of summer.

truck starts, puts out plenty of juice from the alt.

high and low beams work, brake lights work, but no tail lights (without foot on brake), no front marker lights and no instrument cluster lights.

All fuses in the interior fuse box are good.

... WTF?

some1 halp :)

Have you looked to see if the switch has power to the back of it? and if so is power comming of it. Thats where I would start.

yeah, thats on my list for after work today. I was hoping there was just a relay somewhere I didn't know about or something.

2nd thought. The switch has to have power coming in because the headlights still work. It could be that the contacts for that position of the switch are dirty and not allowing it to put out any juice. But I am still leaning toward it being a relay.

It's a seperate system. Fuse, wire, and all. Just incase you have 1 fuse blow out you dont become invisable to other cars.. It's a Federal law thing.
