Spacers are not the way to go to change bolt pattern. They push the wheels out too far to stay in the wheelwells and can fail by shearing off the original studs or the adaptors fail. Depending what pattern you are after, there are several posts on how to change the bolt pattern safely using 2wd toyota hubs in front and either redrill the rear drums and axles to match the 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern, or swap the whole rear axle for the toyota rear axle. The best part is you can usually buy the toyota parts for less than a set of good adaptors, and it looks factory when done. Mini truckin has a series of articles that Ernie Macias did when he converted his Mitsu truck to the 5 x 4.5 pattern and even added rear disc brakes to boot!!! I think he is still a member on this forum as well.

Then have the nubs ground off the front hubs and turn down the rear axles. Or have the centers of the wheels bored out.
