new problems have came up with my truck...not the distrib or the cat but im pretty sure the crank position sensor is goin out... throwin codes p0300 p0301 302 304 305 306 308. all are misfires and the end number is the cylinder its misfiring on. the truck has new plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, aftermarket distrib that has been checked and workin properly, the dude also said the cam sensor is working right so the only thing i can think of is the crank positions sensor. anybody agree or disagree?

cam sensor is in the distributor......no fun at all but can be done the crank sensor id on the upper side of the passenger side bell housing on the trans. no fun and your gonna loose some skin that is a fact. you cannot see it but you can barley barley get a wrench on it. go to the junk yard and find a ram van. either to pull it or to see where the damn thing is ......trust ms on this one russ im not shittin ya.

well the crank position sensor wasnt the problem. took it to a shop down the road and the dude hooked it up on his machine and drove it down the road...its misfiring on every cylinder except number 2 and number 3 misfired more than any of them. he said he had another truck do the same thing. he changed the coil and fixed it soooo ive got a loaner coil im gonna stick on it and see what happens

well i fixed the ol truck about an hour ago, something so simple im both embarassed and pissed off. the new coil wire i had put on it when i changed all the wires cap rotor and plugs had rubbed a badspot in it and was grounding out on the intake...so something that stupid gave me this much hell.
